What do I do if I am unable to care because of a crisis?

 

If you, as a Carer, become ill or are unable to fully carry out your caring tasks you should telephone your nearest care Management or Community Mental Health Team who will give you advice and may well provide emergency help.

Aims to support the Informal Carers of patients admitted to hospital, throughout patients stay. Continued support and assessment following discharge if required. This is to ensure there is better support for carers to have a good quality of life, to reduce impact of caring on their health and well-being and therefore enable sustainment of caring role, and to prevent crisis.
