Our Vision
Headway East Northants’ future objective is to expand our services to reach more
of the brain injured community and their families, friends and carers through increasing
our centre based services, expanding our outreach program and engaging the community
in further levels of Brain Injury Awareness education. Many reports into Brain Injury
reveal the high level of social exclusion and discrimination for all involved as
a result of ABI. As a result of this the role of Headway East Northants in re-establishing
community ties and educating communities in Brain Injury Awareness become crucial
in addressing this issue and ensuring that the ‘Invisible disability’ of ABI does
not continue to leave such a high number of people within Northamptonshire isolated
and excluded from our their community.
In order to achieve our mission we will need to:
Provide local, community-based services both in centre and as an outreach service.
Prove the levels of professionalism, advice and service delivered through successful
quality audits against the Headway Standards and continual evaluations and monitoring
of the progress of Headway East Northants
Maintain a clear and measurable action plan which is regularly reviewed by the management
team
Provide clear, accurate and accessible information for professionals to address the
lack of knowledge of brain injury issues
Provide clear outcome-based performance measures for service users that are quantifiable
and linked to progression targets
Continually raise awareness of the organisation and the issues involved in brain
injury
